Dear RSG1 Foundation Supporter,
Thank you for expressing an interest in a community service project jointly supported by the Remi Savioz Glut1 Foundation. Joining the dedicated team of RSG1 Foundation volunteers can be a rewarding experience. The patients, families, and staff our organization supports throughout our nation's communities greatly benefit and appreciate support from volunteers such as you who are looking to "Make A Difference!"
We, the Remi Savioz Glut1 Foundation will support community awareness and education projects that reflect our organization's mission. Please keep in mind that projects supported by the RSG1 Foundation should consider ALL of the people within the community who include those afflicted with a wide range of disease types that fall under the umbrella of rare disease (Glut1 DS, cancers, epilepsy and diabetes). These service projects should effectively teach and communicate to both children and adults who are responsible for maintaining respect, integrity and the care of affected individuals (meaning ALL others that reside within the said community).
Healthy social relationships can be better understood and facilitated through programs within our schools by "Kids Helping Kids." Please consider the implementation of one of our "Kids Helping Kids" campaigns. These programs are easy to operate and require the support of volunteer efforts (1 or 2 individuals) which will be supplemented by the RSG1 Foundation's community awareness fund. Those programs include the "Learning in the Lunchroom" project. (Please see attachments.)
The RSG1 Foundation will continue to fight hard in our mission to raise awareness, create educational resources and fund scientific research that will eventually lead to finding a treatment and ultimately a cure for those that suffer from Glucose Transporter Type 1 Deficiency Syndrome and other diseases that are equally affected by Glucose Transporters such as cancers, epilepsy and diabetes. Donations should be made payable to the Remi Savioz Glut1 Foundation and are deposited in the RSG1 Foundation Fund and used to support the mission of our organization.
The RSG1 Foundation is a volunteer organization that has no paid employees. Thank you again for your interest in "Making A Difference" in your local community and school. You will see firsthand the difference you can make by contributing to the gift of education in your local community! Together, "We Can Make A Difference!"
Sincerely,
Remi Savioz Glut1 Foundation
